The Vauxhall/Opel Adam is now finding its way on to our roads, and it’s a decent – if slightly generic – take on the funky little urban runaround. But GM have big plans for the Adam and want to create a car that can compete on level terms with cars like the MINI and Fiat’s 500. Probably of most interest is the new 9-speed auto ‘box for the Range Rover Evoque – replacing the current 6-speed auto box which should offer a lot more relaxing – and economical cruise – on motorways as well as make change more seamless.
